TRANSER WAYPOINTS / ROUTES
TO AND FROM YOUR GPS
LakeMaster gives anglers the ability to upload and download waypoint or route data to and from your computer. LakeMaster supports over 80 GPS interfaces. These interfaces give you the ability to transfer waypoint or route data between your GPS receiver and your LakeMaster software. This process allows anglers to select a specific location on their favorite lake and transfer that exact coordinate to their GPS. The best thing is, it is all done in the comfort of your home. You get to pre-fish the lake before ever wetting the line.
REAL TIME TRACKING OF CURRENT POSITION
What do we mean by "real-time tracking"? Plug your handheld GPS into your laptop with a serial connection and find out! Using LakeMaster's Real Time tracking feature, you can turn your laptop computer into a full functioning chart plotter. Using a laptop computer you get an incredibly large, color screen which assists in map readability. LakeMaster uses NMEA 0183 standard for satellite data transmissions, so almost any GPS unit with a serial connection can be configured to interface with our software. Use this feature for driving directions to the lake, then once at the lake, boat right to your favorite fishing spot.
CUSTOMIZED MAP CREATION & PRINTING
LakeMaster mapping software offers the ability to create and print custom maps. Using the mapping software, you can create custom labels, symbols, and GPS waypoints using simple on screen tools. Zoom in on any section of the map you want, at any scale you want. Transfer the fishing locations to your GPS, print out the map, and you are ready to go.
FISHING LOG ARCHIVAL DATABASE
Do you keep a record of your favorite fishing spots with number of fish caught, weather conditions, bait type? Do you have all of this vital information written down in a paper notebook? Enough said. LakeMaster's waypoint database logging system allows the customer to document each and every waypoint with the type and size of fish species caught, weather conditions, bait used, and special comments that will assist you in identifying that specific location. Best of all, if you are able to keep up-to-date with this information, you will have an incredibly powerful database to search through to locate the best spots for your next trip.
GPS BACKUP & MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Have you ever thought about what would happen to your valuable waypoint coordinates for your favorite fishing, hunting, or navigational aids if your GPS was lost, stolen, or submerged at the bottom of the lake? Probably not. LakeMaster incorporates an easy-to-use interface that allows the customer to easily backup this valuable information. Using LakeMaster, you can create custom GPS files for specific lakes, a critical management tool when working with multiple lakes.
