Scott Steil is a native Minnesotan. A graduate of North Dakota State University,
Scott worked in the Health Care Industry for many years
before transitioning into the insurance industry
and now owns Steil Insurance Services. Scott rekindled his passion for fishing while
working with his father
in their insurance business. After competing in fishing tournaments at the local level, Scott joined the FLW
Walleye
Tour in 2004. He also did some guiding on Mille Lacs both summer and winter. Scott’s success in the
world of tournament fishing led him to In-Depth Outdoors where he did television shows across the Midwest
for 3
years. Scott started the Scott Steil Fishing Blog in 2009. He
promotes both ice and open water products and keeps
followers up
to date on fishing techniques and his most recent experiences in competitive fishing. Scott lives in
Richmond, MN with his wife Lisa
and their two children, son Cole and daughter Jadyn. Scott won the FLW Championship
