Paul Fournier |
 |
Paul Fournier has been a part of guiding and tournament angling in the state of Minnesota for the last 10 years. Finding success on both rivers and lakes is challenging for even the most accomplished, successful anglers but Paul has proven he can adapt to both types of water with a win at the 2004 MWC Leech Lake, a 2nd place finish at the 2004 MWC Spring Valley and 5 other Top 10 finishes and 3 other Top 20 finishes in the last 3 years. Paul is also an accomplished outdoor writer and photographer with several cover photos and monthly articles published in Midwest Outdoors magazine.
Paul has been working with LakeMaster and using the mapping products for the last 6 years. Paul's background in computers and the fishing industry coupled with his years of knowledge of Minnesota waters, has helped him develop an understanding of how these products work and where and how to apply the information.
From the original PC software to the latest in LakeMaster ProMap series maps and MMC cards, I use these maps products any time I plan to be on the water. The LakeMaster products provide the most accurate lake map data available in the market today. I have a busy schedule so I have to take advantage of anything that allows me to work more effectively and efficiently. LakeMaster products save me countless hours of pre-fishing time. During the winter, I can preview lake and river maps on my home PC and create waypoints of areas I feel would be good possible fish holding locations. During the summer months, I can create a "milk run" of spots I want to fish based on the current weather conditions. Changing spots is as simple as scrolling to another area of the lake map on my Lowrance LMS 332C or Lowrance X-111HD depthfinder/GPS unit, review the LakeMaster map for possible fish holding spots and then driving to that location. These products are great and allow me to position my boat to keep my bait or lures in front of the fish! |

"Doc" Bruce Samson |
 |
"Doc" Bruce Samson is the top money winner in Professional Walleye Fishing. He has four major wins to his credit (RCL Championship and 3 PWT) and is known as the Devils Lake master, winning the PWT on Devil's Lake twice. He was also the MWC National Champion in 1986.
His winning formula has worked for him on both lakes and rivers. Doc's formula includes using today's technology to his advantage on the water. While GPS and Sonar technology are common tools in competitive walleye fishing, few walleye pros have blended the technology as well as Doc has. He has proven his techniques on the
tournament trail.
Doc has been using LakeMaster's mapping software for over 5 years. His first experiences were with putting waypoints on Lake Mille Lacs and transferring them to his Lowrance. He also transfers his waypoints to
LakeMaster to see how they related to the structure he was fishing.
This is what motivated Doc into high tech fishing. Doc will use anything available to catch more fish. He will drive 6 hours for the best minnows in order to win, which he did during the RCL Championship. Doc utilizes all of LakeMaster's
products, from paper maps to MMC's, because sometimes it is easier to look over a paper map with friends or use the PC mapping software.
Doc decided to give up practicing medicine to pursue fishing full time, but he still teaches. Doc shares his knowledge of Lowrance® products and critical boat control thru the production of instructional DVDs and videos.
He also offers a fishing education website that covers multiple subjects. You can review products, see what's hot, or contact the Doc at his wesbite, www.hightechfishing.com

Brian Brosdahl |
 |
Renowned guide and outdoor authority Brian "Bro" Brosdahl's knowledge of lakes both big and small is legendary. Lakes Winnibigoshish, Bemidji, Cass and Leech are some of the larger waters Bro has mastered. As well, he's deciphered the code on innumerable lakes lesser in size but equal in production.
As far as species, Bro is best known for ability to find and catch monumental panfish & perch, bluegills, and crappies. However, he's just as experienced in the pursuit of walleyes, muskies, bass, and northern pike.
His inventive mind is tapped often by the fishing media, too. Bro appears regularly on the pages on In-Fisherman Magazine, North American Fisherman, Minnesota Sportsman, Midwest Outdoors, amongst others. Bro films often with Butch Furtman's Outdoor Notebook and the Lindner's Angling Edge, as has appeared on Ron Schara's Minnesota Bound, Fishing the Midwest with Bob Jensen, and Midwest Outdoors Television.

Mike Ebach |
 |
Mike Ebach has been competitively fishing since 1995. He has fished the Michigan Bass Federation clubs and last season the Federation Classic Series, which he and his partner won. Mike relies heavily on the accuracy of lake contours for the deep clear lakes of Northern Michigan where a small flat in 30 feet of water could mean a load of 4 and 5 pound smallies. The LakeMaster digital GPS maps give you the ability to pick out small humps and breaks in areas that get overlooked. When tournament fishing, Mike spends hours driving around the lakes and rivers looking for that small spot that is passed over by others. The LakeMaster digital GPS maps resolves this problem, it gives you the opportunity to spend your time catching the fish instead of looking for them. Weekend anglers, Pro anglers, Salmon anglers, or Bass anglers the LakeMaster digital GPS maps are the best fish catching tool that I have seen in years. |

Scott Ehricke |
 |
I have been using LakeMaster products since 2005. I guide
exclusively on the Lake Winnebago Chain system. The detail
of LakeMaster's maps are great, but the accuracy is what really
impresses me. When I incorporate their products with my angling
skills and techniques, my clients are always satisfied. They can't
wait to get on the water and try out LakeMaster's products.
I have just recently started using LakeMaster's PC software. It is
really easy to use and I get to view these same great maps on the
large screen of my computer. Finally, I didn't even know about
LakeMaster's line of paper maps, I do now! The paper maps are
by far the best paper map I have used. When clients call before
their trip, they ask what they should bring. I always tell them to
pickup a LakeMaster Winnebago paper map so they can mark
some spots on the map.
LakeMaster has really help me on the water to be more efficient and effective.
Scott "Axl" Ehricke is also prostaff for Mercury Marine, Vexilar and
Motor Guide. He has been maintaining his website, www.winnebagofishing.com
since 2004. Scott holds many angling seminars throughout the year,
he also can be seen on WFRV-TV channel 5 on "Axl's Rod & Reel Report"
and on 1330 AM WHBL "Let's Go Fishin" weekly at 12:30pm.

Derek Johnston |
 |
Derek Johnston has been operating the Mille lacs Guide Service for over 16 years on famous Mille Lacs lake in central Minnesota. Derek started guiding at the age of 18 as a launch captain for Denny's resort on the westside of Mille lacs. Derek guides on Mille lacs both summer and winter. Derek has been fishing walleye tournaments for over 10 years which include the Wave Wacker Invitational, The Minnesota Tournament Trail, FLW Walleye League and the Ice Team Trap Attack Circuit. Derek also specializes in marine electronics and has written articles for Midwest Outdoors, Mille lacs Digest and Outdoors Weekly.
Derek relies on his LakeMaster Digital MMC card and Contour Pro PC mapping software for both guiding and tournament fishing. The LakeMaster Digital MMC card for my Lowrance GPS saves me time and money. I can put my clients on fish faster and save on gas expenses by eliminating dead water fast. LakeMaster offers the best detail in mapping and accuracy, I wouldn’t be on the lake without it. There's just simply none better. I use the LakeMaster Contour Pro Software on my PC to pre-fish long before heading to the lake. I often fish all over Minnesota in the winter months and having access to so many high quality accurate maps on my home PC is priceless.

Brian Gilbertson |
 |
I can't say enough about the capabilities that LakeMaster digital maps and their PC mapping software has brought to my tournament fishing and guiding. When I won the Mille Lacs Wave Wacker tournament in 2003, it was thanks in large part to LakeMaster. My partner and I used the PC mapping software during the weeks leading up to the tournament to develop a pre-fishing strategy. Once on the water, our digital maps of Mille Lacs allowed us to consistently find and fish the spots on the spots that held fish. During the actual tournament, we used the digital map to identify and stay on a very small spot that ended up producing the winning bites for us.
For my guiding business I use LakeMaster PC mapping software and my on-board digital maps as teaching tools to show my clients where we are fishing, and explain to them how I chose a particular location, and how the fish are orienting to the structure we are fishing. My clients come away with a much better understanding of the process that goes into eliminating water and quickly finding fish.

Bret Setterholm |
 |
Bret Setterholm runs a fishing guide service located in Otter Tail, MN. When he's not on the water guiding his clients, he is tournament fishing. Bret relies on his LakeMaster mapping system to bring him success in his guiding
business and tournament career. He uses the PC mapping system prior to tournaments and guiding clients, mainly to eliminate unproductive water, "there are so many different specifics you need to study before going fishing, bottom structure, water depths, etc. The LakeMaster software provides
all the information needed for a successful trip."
After studying the PC mapping software, Bret uses his LakeMaster digital maps on the water. "You don't have to wonder if you're in the right location anymore; the digital maps ensure that you are in the precise spot at all times. Why waste
time locating spots, when you can just drive directly too the honey hole. I would highly recommend LakeMaster mapping systems to any angler, pro or novice!"
Thanks, LakeMaster, for an excellent product that has really revolutionized the way I fish! |

Jim O'Brien |
 |
Jim O Brien operates Dancing with Walleyes Fishing Guide Service in Southeast Wisconsin. Jim also competes in several Walleye tournaments each year with his two best partners, sons Jimmy and Chris. There is no better feeling than walking across the stage with your sons collecting several top 10 finishes and Father/Son team of the year awards.
Jim takes great pride in passing on fishing skills learned, to anglers young and old. His guide service operates year round from open water to ice fishing. “LakeMaster digital maps are a must when guiding and tournament fishing. They remove the guess work and get you to where you need to go”. During seminars, outdoor writing and radio shows, Jim stresses that you need a game plan before you even hit the water. The first step is to sit down at the table and locate key fish holding areas on LakeMaster paper maps. Once on the water you fine tune your search to key areas with LakeMasters MMC mapping chips.
There is a difference between fishing and catching. The best way to improve your catch is location and that’s where LakeMaster comes to the aide.

Joe Honer |
 |
Joe Honer has fished many tournaments over the years. With wins and many top five finishes in the RCL walleye circuit, Muskie's Inc International and Northen's Inc. He also finished 1st, 3rd and 4th in the North American Ice fishing Championship. Joe began guiding over 20 years ago. He spent many a day guiding the leach lake area and for the past nine years has been guiding in the Northeast South Dakota Glacial Lakes area as well as the Missouri river around Mobridge.
Joe views guiding as an every day learning experience and shares his wealth of knowledge with those who love to learn. He has been blessed with the opportunity of sharing and learning by his appearances on Midwest outdoors, fishing the Midwest with Bob Jenson, involvement with creating videos for Ice Team as well as fishing seminars. Joe is on pro staff for Ranger boats, Pure fishing, Clam fish houses, Strikemaster augers and Vexlar depth finders.
I have been fishing all my life and have my favorite honey holes. I had thoughts in my head of exactly how it laid out down there. Then I bought the chip from Lakemaster and I can still remember how surprised I was to see how it actually did lay out and why some of the way points I had there were so important. Being able to see the lay out also allows me to control my boat and be as precise as I need to be even in high winds. The Lakemaster chips have allowed me to become much more competent as a guide and fisherman. Which in turn, enables me to use the time I have available to do more catching the fish rather than roaming around to find them.
The chip also plays a key roll in my ability to offer safe trips to my customers. I can't afford to be broken down with damaged props or a lower unit. If you have ever fished in the Glacial Lakes region of South Dakota you know how easy that is to do. As valuable as time is and the expenses involved in repairs, there is no doubt that money spent on a Lakemaster chip is pennies compared to the alternative.
We also guide ice fishing here in South Dakota where on the average day we can auger a hundred holes or more to keep our customers on fish. I can't tell you the time and energy we save having a Lakemaster chip to tell us what is under us and not having to drill holes through three feet of ice to find out. It is literally a life saver some days.
Joe guides year round in the Glacial Lakes area of NE SD. Ice fishing, open water, pheasant and waterfowl. Visit Joe online at www.joeguidesyou.com for your next adventure. I am sure you will have an experience of a lifetime.
