WayPoint Technologies, Inc. (“WayPoint”), together with its sister company ProMap Technologies, Inc.,
currently doing business under our product brand name LakeMaster Lake Maps. LakeMaster Lake Maps acquires,
develops and markets high definition electronic lake charts for use by professional and recreational anglers.
The Company was founded in 1992 by Mike Wood as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
consulting and application development firm and has evolved into the recognized leader in inland lake charts.
Mike Wood, an avid fisherman, identified an opportunity to combine highly accurate GIS data for inland lakes
and waterways with increasingly advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) and sonar technologies to create accurate
electronic lake charts for use in the boat and on the ice by professional and recreational anglers. The Company’s
first product, a PC-based program now marketed as LakeMaster® ContourPro, was introduced in 1999. LakeMaster® ContourPro
allowed anglers to plan fishing expeditions using a library of highly accurate lake charts. Prior to this, anglers had
no choice but to rely on dated Public agency paper charts that were often highly inaccurate. LakeMaster Lake Maps continues
to manufacture and distribute LakeMaster® ContourPro and the new Contour Elite software, which both provide anglers with a
high quality computer mapping software tool that is used together with the other LakeMaster® products to give anglers a
complete lake analysis package.
By 2001, leading fishing sonar manufacturers began incorporating GPS into their high-end fish finders.
LakeMaster® capitalized on this opportunity by launching the LakeMaster® brand of digital electronic inland U.S. lake charts.
Today, LakeMaster® is the most recognized inland lake charting company in the Midwest/Great Lakes region, providing anglers
with high definition 2D and revolutionary high definition 3D shaded relief lake charts. LakeMaster® manufactures and
distributes Secure Digital (SD) chart cards for major fishing sonar and GPS manufacturers through sporting goods distributors,
outdoor retailers and local tackle outlets and is known as the gold standard for electronic fishing charts.
LakeMaster® provides the most accurate, detailed and complete electronic lake charts in the industry today.
We have developed unrivaled proprietary on-the-water survey techniques for acquiring high definition digital marine bathymetry.
We then employ internally developed data processing technology to create detailed high definition lake charts in the LakeMaster
originated, one-foot depth increments. No other company has been able to replicate the accuracy and detail of LakeMaster®
electronic lake charts.
In July 2011 LakeMaster was aquired by Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronic's group, a parent company to Minnekota® trolling motors, Canon® down riggers, and
Humminbird® GPS units. As a result, LakeMaster® currently provides digital chart products exclusively for Humminbird GPS units.
