Bathymetric data is processed by LakeMaster to provide the most accurate and detailed lake maps available. Only the most accurate and detailed survey data combines with LakeMaster GIS techniques to earn the “High-Definition” label. Standard definition map have not met this “most accurate and detailed survey data” test.
High-Definition detail, data often gathered by our own survey crew, is then processed by experienced GIS technicians. The result is contour maps, sometimes as tight a 6” intervals, that provide anglers with the best fishing data available.
Standard Definition contours are usually in three to five foot intervals. LakeMaster enhanced maps are made by LakeMaster using publicly available information. This general lake contour information becomes our basemap. LakeMaster G.I.S. analysts apply techniques to ensure accuracy of shorelines and update visible features to provide a general lake profile.
